Haven't played since Prophecies. - Guild Wars Forums

So, I'm just now coming back to guildwars because I'm extremely pumped for GW2 and want to work on my Hall of Monuments, I've already bought all other expansions. Now for why I'm here, Hence the Title I haven't played since Prophecies and I have no idea on how to make money, and what I really need to work on for my Hall of Monuments, anyone got some suggestions?

P.S. Also looking for a guild.

Play trough Nightfall, get heroes. Try doing missions with bonuses aswell to save time.
When your at Gate of Anquish, you can farm DoA easily with pugs.
After NF, go Factions and complete it. Do all bonuses here too.
After these do Eotn or you can do it aswell on the same time as nf and fac.

You could as well try to get into a "somewhat" laidback sc(speedclear) guild which offers teaching. Speedclears offer a reasonable ammount of profit.
however, most sc guilds have requirements such as having a certain ammount of characters in DoA, (eg. mesmer, assassin, monk, ele). they often require to have ventrilo. etc.

look into this forum to look for guilds

some popular speedclears are:
uwsc (underworld speedclear)
fowsc (fissure of woe speedclear)
DoAsc (Domain of Anguish speedclear)
Kathsc (Catacombs of Kathandrax speedclear)
SoOsc (Shards of Orr speedclear)
FMawsc (Frostmaw's Burrows speedclear)
Bogsc (Bogroot's Growths speedclear)
etc.

to become familiar with speedclears, youtube is your friend
I'd advise you to wander around there and to watch films (with narration preferably)

other ways to obtain money is just to pick up and merch everything,
